The Advance Headers Performance Exhaust Extractors (A55) are classic heavy-duty tubular manifolds custom-engineered for early-generation American muscle icons and classic passenger platforms. Purpose-built to clear the notoriously cramped engine bay layouts of first-generation 1964–1973 Ford Mustangs and 1962–1965 Compact Fairlanes running small-block Ford 289-Cubic Inch and 302-Cubic Inch Windsor V8 engines, this kit replaces highly restrictive factory cast iron manifolds. By maximizing exhaust gas scavenging velocity and significantly lowering backpressure, it unlocks noticeable low-to-mid range working torque, improves throttle response, and provides a crisp, iconic small-block rumble.

The primary pipe pathways will physically conflict with the linkage mechanisms. It is fully compatible with automatic transmissions or hydraulic conversion clutches only.
2. Cylinder Head Exhaust Port Restriction: Configured strictly to match traditional standard factory Windsor V8 cylinder head exhaust port coordinates. These headers will NOT fit GT40 or GT40P cylinder heads (often sourced from late-model Explorer/Falcon V8 engines) due to altered spark plug angles and matching flange constraints.
